The Saudi Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics Provider Course (SALSO)
Course Description: The Saudi Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (SALSO) Provider Course aimed at helping health professionals acquire and retain the necessary knowledge and competencies to deal with maternity related emergencies safely and effectively.
The course includes mandatory readings, pre-recorded lectures, and practical workstations.
Participants are evaluated through a pre & post online test and hands-on skill stations. Ultimately, each maternity care provider must rely on their professional judgment to determine the best course of action in emergency scenarios.
Course Length:
Part One; the online portion of SALSO can vary depends on the student’s level of Knowledge and
experience.
.The Part 2; hands-on session for Blended SALSO will take approximately 8 hours with breaks depends on class size.
Target Audiences: Potential participants include, but are not limited to: Nurses, Nurse Practitioners Physicians, Respiratory Therapists, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Personnel, and other members of the maternity care team
